About Us
The John Melvin Christian University System (JMCUS) serves as the education management organization (EMO) and the central intellectual property (IP) owner for the John Melvin family of educational institutions, athletic centers, and affiliated organizations.
JMCUS provides strategic leadership, institutional governance, academic oversight, operational support, and long-term planning for each affiliated campus and organization. Through a shared-services model, the University System develops and manages academic programs, curriculum, accreditation initiatives, technology systems, enrollment management, marketing, branding, financial administration, compliance, and other centralized services that allow each campus to focus on serving its local students and communities.
As the owner and steward of the John Melvin intellectual property, JMCUS manages and protects all institutional trademarks, trade names, logos, branding, academic content, curriculum, publications, online educational resources, proprietary systems, and other intellectual assets associated with the John Melvin family of organizations. Affiliated institutions and partner organizations operate under licensing and management agreements that ensure consistent academic quality, operational excellence, and brand integrity throughout the system.
The University System supports a growing network of colleges, universities, John Melvin Athletic Centers (JMACs), research institutes, athletic organizations, and educational initiatives united by a common mission to provide Christ-centered, career-focused education while developing leaders who positively impact their communities through faith, service, and excellence.
Through centralized leadership and shared resources, the John Melvin Christian University System creates a scalable, sustainable model that empowers each affiliated institution to maintain its unique local identity while benefiting from the strength, innovation, and reputation of the broader John Melvin educational network.

Founded in 2021, John Melvin University (JMU) was established in loving memory of John Caleb Melvin, a multi-sport collegiate athlete from Berwick, Louisiana. John was known for his unwavering faith, servant's heart, contagious smile, positive spirit, and genuine love for others. His life continues to inspire the University's mission of developing leaders who live with purpose, integrity, and a commitment to serving God and their communities.
John Melvin University is a Christ-centered institution of higher education dedicated to providing academically rigorous, career-focused education grounded in biblical truth. The University equips students to excel intellectually, professionally, spiritually, and personally through innovative degree programs, practical learning experiences, and servant leadership development.

The John Melvin Institute of Sports Science (JMISS) is a premier affiliate of the John Melvin Christian University System (JMCUS) dedicated to advancing athletic performance, sports science education, leadership development, and career advancement for athletes, coaches, fitness professionals, and sports organizations.
Located in Pensacola, Florida, JMISS serves as a comprehensive center for performance training, sports science research, professional certifications, athlete development, and post-graduate advancement opportunities. Through evidence-based training, cutting-edge technology, and personalized coaching, JMISS helps individuals maximize their athletic potential while developing the character, discipline, and leadership skills necessary for lifelong success.
JMISS provides elite performance training for youth, high school, collegiate, and amateur athletes, while also offering specialized post-graduate development programs for student-athletes seeking additional academic preparation, athletic development, recruiting exposure, or career planning before enrolling at the college or university that best aligns with their goals.

JMACs are designed to bring Christ-centered higher education, athletic development, ministry, workforce preparation, and community engagement to cities across America and around the world.
Rather than building every campus independently, the John Melvin Christian University System partners with churches, schools, nonprofit organizations, athletic facilities, businesses, and community leaders who share our mission of advancing God's Kingdom through quality Christian education and sports.
Each JMAC serves as a local extension of the John Melvin Christian University System while maintaining strong community relationships and local leadership.
